As the result of the 3rd call for “Participatory Monitoring of Public Service Delivery and Promoting Social Accountability” project proposals, 6 out of 27 proposals have been selected for funding within the framework of USAID funded “Engaged Citizenry for Responsible Governance” project implemented by Transparency International Anticorruption Center NGO in 2017. An orientation meeting with TIAC team was held on October 10, 2017.

The following NGOs operating in Armenia became beneficiaries of sub-grant project for the below mentioned proposals:

  • Disability Info NGO (Yerevan) Availability of general education school: from legislation to practice
  • “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO (Vanadzor) Civic oversight of effective management of community resources through participatory monitoring of community lands, property alienation and lease processes
  • Rights Information Center NGO (Goris) Public procurement monitoring in Syunik Marz
  • Lusastgh NGO (Vanadzor) Increase of transparency in provision of medicines free of charge and under privileged conditions in favor of people with disabilities
  • Institute of Public Policy (Yerevan) Participatory monitoring in optimization of schools in the Republic of Armenia in order to raise issues and to present improvement proposals
  • Compass, a research, training and consultancy center NGO Participatory monitoring for improved and quality roads in Gyumri

As a result of the 2nd call for “Participatory Monitoring of Public Service Delivery and Promoting Social Accountability” project proposals, on December 5, 2016 five subgrantees were selected for the below mentioned proposals.

  • Partnership and teaching NGO (Goris) Improving transparency and accountability in general education in Syunik Marz
  • “Araza” Benevolent NGO (Yerevan) Participatory monitoring of state active employment programs in Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Shirak and Lori Marzes
  • Child Development Foundation (Yerevan) Improving participatory processes in pre-school education institutions in Armavir and Kotayk Marzes and in Yerevan
  • Martuni Women’s Community Council NGO (Martuni) Community participatory monitoring and social accountability for guaranteeing children’s equal rights to education in Gegharkunik community
  • Association of Young Journalists NGO (Abovyan) Participatory monitoring and promotion of accountability and transparent operation of condominiums’ activity in town communities in Kotayk, Ararat, Armavir and Aragatsotn Marzes

  • Foundation Against the Violation of Law NGO (Gyumri), Promotion of social accountability and participatory monitoring of services provided to public in Syunik and Vayots Dzor Marzes
  • “Compass” research, training and consultancy center NGO (Gyumri), Participatory Monitoring for quality communal services in Gyumri
  • Institute of Regional Monitoring NGO (Kapan), Monitoring and revealing of corruption risks of the water-supply system renewal project implementation of Kapan town
  • “Confidence'' health NGO (Yerevan), Campaign supporting the enforcement of the Law on "Breastfeeding promotion and regulation of infant food marketing”
