Amalia Kostanyan, Chairwoman and Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Executive Director of Transparency International Anti-corruption Center attended a training workshop in Berlin on "National Integrity System (NIS) Assessment" from July 27 to 28, 2009 and gave presentations during Sessions on NIS Workshop and on NIS Pillars and Indicators, respectively. They also participated in a training on "Anti-corruption: Delivering Change (AC:DC) Program" on July 29, 2009. National Chapters from Georgia and Ethiopia as well took part in the training. Both events were organized by TI-Secretariat.

The NIS Assessment workshop objectives were; to provide implementing agencies with knowledge and skills to effectively conduct an NIS assessment; to provide a forum for cross-country exchange and dialogue on the challenges of assessing integrity, accountability and transparency issues at country level and to discuss project coordination and communication issues.

The AC:DC Program aims to reduce corruption in 25 countries world-wide by advocating for effective anti-corruption policy and practice at the national, regional, municipal and local levels.
During the anti-corruption training the participants discussed GAP analysis and synergies with the NIS, Logical Framework and Indicators, Action Plan and Communication and Advocacy Plan.
