On March 15, 2017 the Ministry of Finance of Armenia hosted a meeting with the Minister of Finance and representatives of non-governmental organizations. They discussed the Recommendations on the Law on Procurement and procurement legislation submitted earlier by Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC). The Recommendations are related to the draft legal acts providing the enforcement of the Law on Procurement to be approved by the Government.

According to Vardan Aramyan, Minister of Finance of Armenia 8 out of the 19 recommendations submitted by TIAC are acceptable by the Ministry of Finance, 5 were implemented, 5 were not accepted and 1 was partially implemented. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached for TIAC and Anti-corruption coalition of CSOs to submit new recommendations on sub-legislative acts providing the enforcement of the Law on Procurement to study and organize a joint discussion.
