As a part of Armenian civil society delegation, TIAC Chairwoman Amalia Kostanyan was on an advocacy trip to Strasbourg, Brussels, Washington, D. C. and New York City from June 1 to 16, 2008, organized by OSIAFA and OSI offices in Brussels, Washington, D.C. and New York. The delegation members held meetings with relevant institutions of the Council of Europe and European Commission, as well as Human Rights and Armenian Diaspora structures to express their views on the progress report on implementation of the ENP Action Plan by Armenia, the Armenian government's compliance with PACE Resolution 1609 from April 17, 2008, overall democracy situation in the wake of election and post-election crackdown in Armenia.

During OSI's open forum session in New York City, Amalia Kostanyan mentioned that the purpose of the trip was "to introduce our assessment of the situation in Armenia, to share our concerns and opinions regarding what should be done by all interested parties - donor organizations, non governmental organizations, media, Diaspora - and to learn what is the opinion outside of Armenia and see what are the windows of opportunity to keep Armenia on a democratic track."
