In 2015 Transparency International (TI) global anticorruption organization presented the first Transparency International Amalia Award. The award is named in memory of TIAC’s founder and up to 2010 its Chair Amalia Kostanyan to recognize and celebrate professional excellence and innovation within the TI movement. According to 2015 TI Amalia Awards Guidelines there are two categories in the Awards: Professional Excellence category (this award is given to an individual who demonstrates a high degree of professional excellence in her/his TI role) and Impact category (this award is given to an individual or a team in recognition of a specific action). On September 1, 2015 at a ceremony during TI Annual Membership Meeting (AMM) in Putrajaya, Malaysia, Mark Pyman, TI UK Defense and Security Program was announced TI Amalia Award winner for Professional Excellence and award for Impact category went to Maggie Murphy from TI-Secretariat.

TI AMM brought together representatives from more than 110 Transparency International chapters and members from around the global Movement, including Sona Ayvazyan, Deputy Director of Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC).

Transparency International Amalia Award is being established following approval of a resolution at the 2010 Bangkok AMM and was administered by the TI Integrity Awards Committee.
