Mission
The TI AC mission is to promote effective public policy and good governance in order to prevent corruption and strengthen democracy.
Vision
The vision is to serve as the key consulting body for both government and non-governmental actors/institutions to promote effective good governance reforms in the country and the region.
Goals
Organizational activities are aimed at fostering transparency, accountability and participation; promoting the enabling environment for political, economic and social reforms.
Values
Main values of the TI AC are transparency, accountability, integrity, courage, justice and democracy.
Approach
TI AC pursues cooperation with government institutions on initiatives which promise of positive impact on ongoing reforms or promote new policies, and manifests a principled opposition to decisions or actions of the government that clearly threaten good governance in the country.
The organization’s efforts are directed to bringing systemic changes at the local, national or regional level rather than dealing with individual advocacy. This systemic approach is based on the National Integrity System.
Effective coalitions and alliances with other civil society groups, academia, media, international organizations play a key role for presenting the organization’s position to policy makers and lobbying for policy change.
Strategy
The TI AC Armenia strategy for 2007-2010 is directed towards activities that demand more transparency and accountability from representatives of both public and private sectors; encouraging and facilitating people's genuine participation in decision-making; supporting better enforcement of laws.
Organization's activities include the following: a) conducting comprehensive research on the process of political, economic and social reforms in Armenia and the region; b) carrying out monitoring and evaluation of policy reforms; c) advocacy and lobbying for policy changes to ensure the effectiveness of reforms; d) launching public awareness campaigns on the public policy and governance processes; and e) building civil society capacity to participate in policy-making and governance matters.
